Raspberry Pi 1 A+ – Installation Node Red server – Console based on Raspbian Jessie Lite

Based on Raspbian Jessie Lite, hence without a xserver, because of the used Raspberry Pi A+ is’nt so performant as a new Raspberry Pi, but it also consumes considerably less power in continuous operation.

A good starting point is http://nodered.org/docs/hardware/raspberrypi.

install npm

  1. sudo apt-get update
  2. sudo apt-get install npm
  3. sudo npm install -g npm@2.x
  4. hash -r
